How It Works
Original Turbo Decoder HU100 Features
The original Turbo Decoder HU100 includes these main parts:
- Key Profile – Designed for opening and decoding HU100 door and ignition locks used in Opel, GM, Vauxhall, and Chevrolet vehicles.
- Sliding Pins – Used to open the lock and read the lock code.
- Pin Bar – Helps insert and remove the tool smoothly.
- Tension Wheel – Applies turning pressure during unlocking.
- Pin Activator Wheel – Controls movement of the pin bars.
- Turbo Wheel – Moves the pins to match the lock code.
Before Use
For best results:
- Clean the lock using WD40 to remove dirt or dust.
- Confirm the vehicle uses the HU100 key profile.
- Make sure the lock is original and not a low-quality replacement.
Lock Direction Check
HU100 locks can be left or right side.
- Insert the tool fully into the lock.
- Push the turbo wheel forward.
- If it moves deeper, remove it, flip it, and try again.
- If correct, the tool will stay firm inside the lock.
Opening Instructions
- Hold the tool from the activator ring.
- Turn the turbo wheel fully right.
- Insert fully into the lock.
- Pull back the activator wheel until positions 3, 2, 1 appear.
- Apply left turning pressure.
- Turn the turbo wheel left to stop point 1.
- Return right and release pressure.
- Repeat left and right pressure for 20 cycles.
If still locked:
- Move to stop point 2 and repeat 20 cycles.
If still not open:
- Move to stop point 3 and repeat 10 more cycles.
Decoding the Lock
Once opened:
- Turn the lock left or right.
- Keep light pressure applied.
- Pump once to stop point 3.
- Gently move the tool along the blade line.
- The lock code transfers to the pins.
Safe Removal
- Return lock to neutral position.
- Turn turbo wheel fully left.
- Push activator wheel fully forward.
- Remove the tool carefully.
Reading the Code
- Pull back the activator wheel.
- Turn turbo wheel to stop point 3 or 4.
- Read the visible pins in order.
This lock has 8 discs, with cuts 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Example code: 11223312
Use the code in your key cutting machine to make a replacement key.
Resetting Pins
Before next use:
- Turn turbo wheel to stop point 1.
- Pull activator back.
- Use HU100 reset tool.
- Press each pin gently back into place.
Do not use excessive force. Pins move easily.
