Lishi 17DAT Usage Tips

• These locks are more difficult than most to pick
• They use split wafers, meaning each side of the key operates independently
• When picking, you will typically open one side first, causing the lock to turn about a quarter turn, then pick the other side to fully open it
• The lock may remain in the open position and will need to be picked again before it can rotate back past the halfway point to the locked position and allow tool removal
• Always decode in the same direction as opening, and only decode when the lock is fully open for accurate readings
